Desiredriven
Desiredriven is a Homestuck-style Touhou Project fan game developed in RPG Maker VX Ace by a team known as “Saxmasterz” and the first act was published on February 9, 2013.1) There were plans for more acts, but it's probably safe to say they'll never come to fruition.2)
That aside, it's an admittedly cute game with a playtime estimate of three hours, but do note that it's text-heavy. I wouldn't personally compare it to “[S] YOU THERE. BOY.” since there's actually a story with things to do, not just mindlessly examine your surroundings.
Summary
The story begins on December 13th,3) which is Byakuren's 16th birthday, and follows 13 teenage characters who play a game called Skima. In short, Act 1 walks you through each character's introduction and how they join the game, meaning that you'll have them prototype their kernelsprite and obtain a cruxite artifact in order to enter the medium, then it ends on a tense cliffhanger where Tojiko confronts Seiga for killing her.

Analysis
Handle significance
The preachhandles use the letters, B, D, H, and V, which seems to form a box that Mamizou is apart of and Nazrin is inside of. It's believed to be the phonetic letters for Bodhisattva.

Mailboxsprite's messages
Mailboxsprite is an analogue to Serenity from Homestuck, speaking in morse code which Nazrin seems to understand like Roxy Lalonde in Homestuck, though Mailboxsprite's messages are really trashy.

Bugs
- If you skip the save in the early scenes, you may get a transparent manual stuck on your screen.
- After you prototype Ichirin's sprite, it's possible for the cursor to get softlocked in the garden.
Notes
- Desiredriven starts on Disc 2, implicating the existence of a Disc 1 and a prior session.
- Skima is a pun on “sukima” (スキマ, lit. “gap”), boundaries associated with Yukari Yakumo, and uses Byakuren and Futo's colors though I wouldn't read into it as Futo used the default color.
- “It is easy to hate and it is difficult to love” is from Confucius, not Bùdài/Hotei. This may be a joke on how Confucianism is one of the three teachings, next to Buddhism and Taoism.
- The mischievous crow actually has three legs. The satori are an obvious analogue to the cherubs.
- Koishi contacts Miko before Derse, and Satori contacts Byakuren after Miko messes with her home.
- Tojiko is the only Desiredriven character with a known planet name: Land of Dawn and Thunder.
- Secret rooms can discovered by Miko in Scene 9 (behind a tower in Derse) and Mamizou in Scene 18 (enter the shack next to Mamizou's Cabin after the countdown timer hits 01:18).
- “Yananaz” was a pairing with Yanana11) or “Mailboxsprite” and Nazrin. On that note, the latter secret room prominently features blurred pornography of Nazrin sucking Yanana's breasts.
- All the secret Skype messages are the same in every iteration of their respective household.
- Unused talksprites exist for Tojikosprite, Unzansprite, Nuesprite, and Chimerasprite.
- “Shepple” (born 1992-11-10), formerly “LittleShrimp” and “CaptainSki”, was the graphics artist12) for Desiredriven who was, reportedly, a Filipino control freak and egomaniac with a clique that people would get ostracized from13) and tons of baggage,14) prior to the whole “transphobic girlfriend” drama associated with Heartbeat in 2019.15)16)
“LittleShit”, anyone?17) - All the western Touhou Project fanbase drama aside, I think Desiredriven really gives you a newfound appreciation of the whole process of characters in Homestuck entering the medium.
