Yamin's Heater

Yamin's Heater” (やみんのストーブ)1) refers to a kerosene fan heater, manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric in the 1990s,2) that was famously tripped over in a somewhat viral Niconico video uploaded on November 30, 2010.3) The heater remains in storage with her parents.

History

On December 1, 2010, an 18-year-old “Yamin” had uploaded a video of herself, dancing to Seikan Hikou, but left in the part where she trips over said heater and falls backwards.4) The clip would go somewhat viral nationally, even being featured on Fuji TV's Bacademy Video Awards program5) on March 9, 2012,6) but she wasn't able to watch it live as she wasn't in the broadcast area.7)

The heater has remained a part of her 'lore', regardless of the Cookie☆ association, and she would voluntarily share other photos of the heater since then.8)9)10)11) In 2024, the heater was revealed to stashed away but operational,12)13) then she did a TikTok video of herself, dancing to the viral AI-generated “YAJU&U” song, with the heater in the background.14)
