Sich (Січ) was a short-lived Ukrainian bulletin board, founded by “Vitalii”,¹⁾ that had ran from March 9, 2014 to October 19, 2015. The website was mainly known for its contributions to Ukrainian imageboard culture, namely their blue-yellow “Ukrchan” theme that remains in use today.

In 2014, “Vitalii” had registered “sich.co” on January 30, 2014, then launched Sich in beta on March 9, 2014²⁾ using Vitaba, following the 2014 coup. They initially attracted Uchan refugees, but later captured the attention of local anime communities on VKontakte, which allowed Sich to stand out with content that actually felt Ukrainian than Russian with its regional banter, regional politics, regional 'cityballs', etc.

However, the development of Vitaba stalled at '95%', which later became an in-joke, so they simply gave up and converted the database to Vichan on November 2, 2014.³⁾ Then on October 19, 2015, the website collapsed with “Vitalli” claiming “Mariana Shakhidka” stole the data, so users fled to Uchan. Despite the claims that Sich will return, the domain expired on February 6, 2016.

• The name 'Sich' was a reference to the historical Cossack encampments and fortifications, Sich, which is a term that was notably derived from the verb 'sikty' (сікти), meaning 'to cut'.
  • Sich's slogan was “Sichesh, khlopche?” (Січеш, хлопче?), roughly meaning “Can you cut it, kid?”.
  • In addition, most of the board mascots were drawn with a small saber.
