The Sukusuku Hakutaku (すくすく白沢)¹⁾ is a round, fluffy creature that was first illustrated by “upg” on September 6, 2008,²⁾ inspired by the 'Inufuku' (犬福) from the Quiz & Variety Sukusuku Inufuku arcade game, but given elements of Keine Kamishirasawa from Touhou Project.

It's a spherical creature with green and white fur, two yellow horns with a red bow, four stumpy legs, and a big fluffy green tail, resembling Keine Kamishirasawa's were-hakutaku form. The original Sukusuku Hakutaku comic featured Keine discovering the creature, asking Reimu to guess what it is, then Keine rejects the idea of keeping it with Mokou. In the same comic, the artist wondered if anybody would get the reference.

The 'moldy daifuku' (カビ大福, kabi daifuku) had unexpectedly become popular, so the artist simply asked people to use the 'Sukusuku Hakutaku' tag or attach their work as a response.³⁾ Other artists have made all sorts of Sukusuku Hakutaku variations, with added lore that it started out as a 'white ball' (白玉) but gained its pigment, accessories, and tail size from other elements.
