Fusagiko
Fusagiko (フサギコ, lit. “Furry Giko”),1) also called Giko Husserl (ギコ・フッサール, Giko Fussāru),2) is a furry variant of Giko that would surface in 2channel's /mona/ board on November 24, 2000.3) He's a dog who gives advice and has the catchphrase of “-dakara” (～だから).4)

Notes
- The relationship status of Fusagiko is up for debate and it largely depends on who you ask.
- However, the “Fusatsu” (房津) storyline has popularized Fusagiko and Tsuu pairing as well, with both raising an unexpected furry child named “Fuu” (フー).
- There was a “Furry Character Boom” (フサキャラブーム, Fusa Kyara Būmu) where other characters were given a significant amount of fur and have a “fusa-” (フサ○○) prefix added to their name. However, none of the characters from the fad really stuck around, compared to Fusagiko's longetivity.
- “Fusamona” (フサモナ) has been done before, being depicted as a real-estate agent.5)

“Fusafusa” (ふさふさ) means “bushy”, “thick”, or “furry”, though it's likely derived from “a lot”.

“Husserl” appears to be a reference to Edmund Husserl, the mathematician and philosopher credited for phenomenology (“study of which that appears”). This is probably a visual joke of sorts.

“Dakara” (だから) is something said to emphasize and often translated as “so”, “therefore”, “accordingly”, “consequently”, “on those grounds”, etc. However, when it's just placed at the end of the sentence, it can also be interpreted as “I just said this”, “I told you already”, “like I said”, “that's why”, etc.
