IIchansk presidential election
The IIchansk presidential election (Выборы президента Ычанска) was IIchan's mock election event, which was first held during the 2008 Russian presidential election on March 2, 2008. This was mostly a one-time event, as latter elections haven't had much acknowledgement.
2008 election
In the 2008 election, a total of 98 votes were cast in a FPTP vote where Suiseiseki controversially became the President of IIchansk without a second round. Several months later, a 'Sage Revolution' (Шалфейная революция)1) was attempted on August 20, 2008 and chronicled in a Lenta-chan parody article,2) but it would be deemed a failure as the Suiseiseki supporters came out in full force.

2014 election
Before the 2014 election, there was an alleged coup where Remilia Scarlet became the interim ruler4)5) until the next elections on September 21, 2014.6) The 2014 elections were more hectic, some of the candidates allegedly refused to participate, then it sorta ended with YuVAO-chan breaking the tie-breaker with Mokou by 3 votes after a discussion on the validity of some ballots.7)

“YuVAO-chan” (ЮВАО-тян) is a fictional catgirl from an IIchan user's story from late 2007, where the user met a 'neko' at the McDonald's around Pushkinskaya in Moscow. The character is named after the author's okrug, the Yugo-Vostochny Administrative Okrug (South-Eastern Administrative Okrug).

“Zlokot” (Злохот) refers to a modified British Shorthair photograph that was edited to have empty eye sockets and a round mouth with sharp teeth, featured on The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. It was obviously meant to startle posters who came across the image around midnight.
