Onechan was a German bulletin board, co-founded by “Numen Nex” and “One”, that ran from April 11, 2005¹⁾ to April 6, 2012.²⁾ It was one of the earliest German bulletin boards, but it's mostly known for indirectly creating Einskanal, Dreikanal, and the more significant Krautchan.

The website was initially launched by “Numen Nex” and “One” (!lReH8.iKNM) at “onechan.net” using Wakaba on April 11, 2005.³⁾ A year later, Onechan relaunches under new ownership on April 15, 2006,⁴⁾ but people were deterred by the excessive pornographic advertisements that former users made the short-lived Einskanal, followed by the short-lived Dreikanal at IB4F, and eventually Krautchan on May 1, 2007.

Even with 4chan's “/b/-day” incident on August 23, 2006, Onechan didn't really do much to stand out. In 2010, they made the switch to Kusaba X on July 26, 2010,⁵⁾ but it still ran excessive pornographic advertisements mentioned earlier. Around April 6, 2012, the website forgot to renew their domain, given the GoDaddy page, so it was presumed dead by that point.⁶⁾

• For some reason, Onechan's co-founder refused to use the English localization strings in Wakaba,⁷⁾ which does makes sense, but it's a very odd decision to make for a 'German' website.
