Onechan was an early German bulletin board that launched by “Numen Nex” and “one” on April 11, 2005, transferred ownership which led to its downfall, and eventually shut down around April 2012. It really wasn't that important in terms of German imageboard history.

Back in April 11, 2005, “Numen Nex” and “one” (!lReH8.iKNM) would launch “onechan.net” with the Wakaba script.¹⁾ It would later relaunch under new ownership on April 15, 2006²⁾ with an English directory,³⁾ yet the unsightly amount of pornographic advertisements deterred people, resulting in a migration to the short-lived Einskanal which would later result in the creation of Dreikanal and Krautchan in 2007.

Despite losing most of their community, the ownership kept Onechan alive, though they eventually switched from the Wakaba script to Kusaba X on July 26, 2010 while still keeping the pornographic advertisements.⁴⁾ Then in 2012, the ownership presumably forgot to renew the “onechan.net” domain,⁵⁾ putting the website out of its misery after almost 7 years.
