Sectachan, stylized as SectaChan, was a Mexican Spanish bulletin board founded by “DC_Fulano” as an extension of Secta Hentai [MX] around October 21, 2005.¹⁾ These boards formally went independent²⁾ on February 2, 2007,³⁾ then shut down after a server crash on November 1, 2010.⁴⁾⁵⁾

Around October 21, 2005, “DC_Fulano” would set up imageboards as an extension of a hentai forum, at the “sectahentai.org/imageboards” subdomain, and used Wakaba.⁶⁾ In 2006, the Secta Hentai website ran into hosting problems and held a fundraiser on November 1, 2006 for upgrades and general improvements,⁷⁾ then the forums came back around December 19, 2006 without the imageboards this time.

On February 2, 2007, the imageboards were split off into SectaChan at “sectachan.org”⁸⁾ using Thorn,⁹⁾ but switched to Trevorchan (Kusaba) on April 20, 2007.¹⁰⁾ There is very little known about SectaChan, but the greater Hispanic community would occasionally bring it up. Then on November 1, 2010, the servers crashed, which killed SectaChan.¹¹⁾¹²⁾ In 2014, Hispachan bought the name.¹³⁾¹⁴⁾
