Soyjak Party

Soyjak Party, also known as The Sharty,1) is an edgy, absurdist bulletin board that revolves around Soyjak and its derivatives. It was originally founded by “Soot” on September 20, 2020.2) At the time of this writing, the website is administrated by “Froot” and “Root”.3)

History

On September 20, 2020, “Soot” sets up an imageboard at “soyjak.party”, using Vichan, and advertised it on 4chan's “Question & Answer” (/qa/) board.4) After a week, the right-wing pejorative “Chud” had became the default name. Over the next two years, the website would gain a considerable amount of traction, generating some semblance of culture, crafting a wiki, and gathering a reputation for their sizable raids.

Following a warring period,5)6) “Kuz” purchased Soyjak Party on July 14, 2022,7) then a rogue 4chan janitor dumped off a wave of internal leaks on August 19, 2022.8)9)10) During this period, “SoyTube Kids”11)12) and “ChudBob SoyPants”13)14) went viral. Then on April 17, 2023, “Doll” became an interim administrator,15) ends up buying the website on July 23, 2023,16) but a brief period of chaos followed.17)

“Doll” ended up divesting ownership, forming a triumvirate with “Angeleno” and “Froot” on August 22, 2023, then “Doll” and “Angeleno” left on August 31, 2023 and October 9, 2023 respectively.18) This would leave “Froot” as de-facto administrator with “Doll” occasionally resurfacing,19) then “Root” managed to replace him as co-administrator on March 17, 2024.20) A bunch of shit nobody cares about ensues.21)

Notes

  • The original mascot of Soyjak Party was an anthropomorphic Soylent bottle named “Soy-tan”, but she was replaced with the “Impish Soyak Ears” variant during the 2022 acquisition.
  • It isn't a secret that the community occasionally partakes in trolling, raiding, and doxing, but they have weaponized their obscurity, blaming 4chan or Reddit to mislead victims for humorous effect.
  • You can find a “Jackbox” thread on /soy/, where they target small Twitch streamers that happen to be playing The Jackbox Party Pack or holding a public Discord voice call. In these threads, they will attempt to coordinate a way to “chud it up” (CIU) with disturbing imagery, then mass report said content to get the Twitch stream or Discord guild banned, but sometimes tip themselves off.
    • Of course, the Jackbox Games developers would eventually became aware of their activities in September 2022, then people began spreading awareness on Twitter by November 2022.22)
    • It should be mentioned that these types of threads will occasionally attract extortion groups trying to fit in, which the Sharty userbase have caught onto and severely frown down upon.
  • The Internet Archive has decided to exclude the “soyjak.party” domain around February 2024.
  • You can disable and adjust the NSFW filter in options. If you want to mess around with the filter, try this CSS rule: img[style*="filter: blur(18px)"] {filter: blur(0px) !important;}
  • Personally, the name “Bald Cartoon Man With Glasses Website” and its variants are funnier though.
  • Media Pending Approval.
  • Soyjak Party (Soyjak.St) - The front page of Soyjak Party.
    • Soyjak Wiki - A wiki on Soyjak variants, the Sharty's history, and shit nobody cares about.
    • The Cellar - The current archive for Soyjak Party, likely on an intentional delay.
  • Soybooru - Large collection of Soyjaks that will occasionally go offline. It's often treated as its own entity due to a “decline in quality” or its tendency to attract unsavory commenters.
  • Marge - Statistics page for Soyjak Party, where people can obsess over the PPH or whatever.
  • '- - A leading apostrophe, technically a contraction, that gets haphazardly used.
  • bumo - A typo of bump, sometimes used to bring attention to a thread.
  • catalog (catty, 'log) - An imageboard directory, often used as a victory trophy in raids.
  • carbon - A mediocre thing, neither good nor bad.
  • coaldustbrimstonevantablackantimatter - A 'bad' thing.
  • gem (💎, gemmy) - A 'good' thing.
    • geg - A gem-infused laugh, meant to differentiate from the widespread “kek” laugh.
  • IAS, NAS - Short for “Is a Soyjak” and “Not a Soyjak” respectively.
  • jakker, soyteen ('teen) - A demonym for the type of user who visits these communities.
  • keyed, locked - A substitute for “based” and “cringe” respectively, given their widespread use.
  • marge - A confusing thing, derived from a Leebait reaction image with The Simpsons.
  • newGOD, oldtroon - An inversion of 4chan's anti-newcomer, secret club mentality.
  • 'P - Short for “CP” (child pornography), despite this being the same length as the acronym.
  • though (doe) - An allegedly unnecessary word that tends to get scrutinized.
  • xer - A neopronoun. However, on the Sharty, it's a derogatory term which typically used to suggest that the target is transgender, regardless of their actual gender status.
1)
The official nickname is “The Party”, but most users call it “The Sharty”, a portmanteau of “shit”, “fart”, and “party”. It is sometimes rendered with a leading apostrophe, such as “'party” or “'arty”.

During the month of August 2023, Soyjak Party temporarily lost its domain, forcing the website to take refuge at “soychan.org” and “soyjaks.party”, then suffered a DDoS attack and financial problems. This caused many people to believe that Soyjak Party had died, resulting in a number of splinters, but the issues were later resolved and it eventually resumed operations under its original domain.
