Dollchan (Доллчан), or Kuklochan (Куклочан), is a Ukrainian¹⁾ bulletin board set up by “SthephanShi”²⁾ and formally opened on May 7, 2018.³⁾ The name is better known for an imageboard extension which presumably began development around March 5, 2010.⁴⁾

In the past, threads about the Dollchan extension were housed on the original Dvach,⁵⁾ then moved to IIchan from 2011 to 2016.⁶⁾ Around May 7, 2018, “SthephanShi” formally set up an imageboard at the “dscript.me” domain using a TinyIB fork,⁷⁾ though there is evidence that he had been testing the website since January 29, 2017.⁸⁾ Eventually, the website migrated to the “dollchan.net” domain by April 8, 2020.

Following the Russian intervention in 2022, “SthephanShi” would notably blog about Russians seizing the Chernobyl NPP as an employee from Slavutich,⁹⁾ then a “Ukraine” (/ukr/) board was made on July 1, 2022.¹⁰⁾ However, Dollchan remained 'niche' until Sosach would controversially remove some /ukr/ moderators for 'extremism', thus the sudden migration around May 19, 2023.¹¹⁾

• In the past, the 'Dollchan' extension was once called 'Dollscript' or 'Kukloscript' (Куклоскрипт).
• Dollchan identifies as a Ukrainian website, but does permit Russian-language posts.¹²⁾
• “SthephanShi” is a Ukrainian-born Russian from Shakhtyorsk, Donetsk, with a Ukrainian passport,¹³⁾ who maintains 'immunity' to mobilization since he is an employee for the Chernobyl NPP.¹⁴⁾
