“Ryō @ Ichigo Knight” (りょー@苺騎士)¹⁾ was a female Cookie☆ artist that was active from 2019 to 2020, but she would be tricked into doxing herself in the middle of a 2channel harassment campaign, then reportedly ended up committing suicide on June 13, 2020.²⁾³⁾

For context, the Cookie☆ community had been seeking a lead on Ichigo from Kusso☆ S3, as her prior Twitter account was suspended, and discovered one on May 28, 2020.⁵⁾⁶⁾ During this, some users in the 'Cookie☆ General Thread' looked at who just followed her,⁷⁾ saw Ichigo Knight with an Ichigo avatar, and criticized her for worrying about Homogaki⁸⁾ despite her actually fitting the definition of a Homogaki herself.⁹⁾

Shortly after, the enraged users discovered underage drinking,¹⁰⁾ prostitution (i.e. sale of child pornography),¹¹⁾ and kept trying to dox her. She was then made aware of the thread, outright asked for forgiveness with the tripcode of ◆YTXcN98b5s,¹²⁾ and some joked 'self-doxing' was the solution. However, the problem began with her taking this at face value, posting her real name with a selfie.¹³⁾

Following a brief Smash Ultimate stream on TwitCasting,¹⁴⁾ her mother later found out around June 8, 2020, so a string of vent tweets followed and she set the account to private on June 10, 2020 because her parents would be monitoring it. This familial relationship deteriorated, naturally causing her suicidal ideation to grow, then came the morning of June 13, 2020 where she would make her final tweets.

On the same day, it was reported that a 15-year-old middle school girl from Fujimi, Saitama had committed rail suicide using a southbound train on the Tōbu Tōjō Line around 10:15am,¹⁵⁾¹⁶⁾ which lines up with what everyone knew,¹⁷⁾ plus her parents requested anonymity.¹⁸⁾ As mentioned in her final tweets, we did see her two posthumous illustrations for MariAli Day on June 16, 2020.¹⁹⁾

In the following week, the 2channel threads were swamped with sympathetic to paranoid posts, veterans who chimed in to react, and complete strangers demanding images of the victim. A few Twitter users would write 'datsu-ku☆' (脱ク☆) to distance themselves from the community. In addition, a public Discord server was also exposed, mocking her death,²⁰⁾ so the users involved faced scrutiny and some were run off.

The planner of the Kusso☆ series, Ako Atouda, had an 'interesting' reaction to the suicide.^21)22)23) He gave a rather utilitarian explanation and believed some were empathizing in the 'wrong' order,^24)25)26) saying they aren't considering all the inconvenienced commuters who potentially shat themselves when the train had to be stopped,²⁷⁾ but then tells everyone to not rush towards death.²⁸⁾²⁹⁾

• Ichigo Knight was born on April 13, 2005, younger than Rina, and is presumed dead at 15 years old.
• Most of her posts under the tripcode have since been deleted, but they are retrievable.
• The strange tweet she made before doxing herself³⁰⁾ is actually a reference to a viral erotic image of Donquixote Doflamingo from One Piece, by 'Yawaraka Onikudan' (やわらかおにく団).
• Her original Twitter account, @ryo_ICGknight, was presumably deleted after she committed suicide, allowing the handle to be picked up and squatted by a random Koushinist account.
